JACKSON, MI. – Carole Lichty-Smith, of Cincinnati Country Day School, Cincinnati, Ohio, was elected president of the Photo Imaging Education Association (PIEA) at the PIEA Annual Meeting during the PMA 09 International Convention and Trade Show. She succeeds Daniel Overturf, of Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Ill., who will serve as past president.

  Marcia Rubenstein of Brooks Institute, Santa Barbara, Calif., is the new president-elect of PIEA. Elected for two-year terms were Heather Protz, from the College of Southern Nevada, Las Vegas Nev., who was elected as vice president; and Glenn Meyer of Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, Port Elizabeth, South Africa, was elected as director-at-large.
The board continued the appointed terms of vice president and webmaster for
Dr. Joseph A. Ippolito of Costa Rica Workshops and of vice president and journal editor for Dr. Janet Bonsall of University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg, Mo.
